Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how CredNavid uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences, analyze how you use the site, and support certain features. Cookies cannot execute programs or transmit viruses.

Cookies on This Site

This site uses two types of local browser storage:

  • •Consent preference (local storage): A first-party entry named crednavid_analytics_consent remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. It is set only after you interact with the consent banner and does not contain any personal information.
  • •Google Analytics 4 cookies (set only if you accept): Google Analytics sets the following cookies when analytics is enabled:
CookiePurposeDuration
_gaDistinguishes unique visitors2 years
_ga_*Maintains session state for GA42 years

This site uses Google Consent Mode v2 to control analytics data collection. When you first visit the site, Consent Mode is set to "denied" — no analytics cookies are written and no data is processed, even though the Google tag is present on the page. If you accept, Consent Mode is updated to "granted" and the cookies above are written. If you later revoke consent, Consent Mode is updated back to "denied" and any existing Google Analytics cookies are automatically deleted from your browser.

If you reject or revoke analytics cookies, Google Analytics may still send cookieless pings (without a client ID) to measure aggregate traffic volume. These pings cannot be attributed to you individually.

How to Control Cookies

Consent banner. When you first visit the site, a banner at the bottom of the page asks whether you accept or reject analytics cookies. Your choice is remembered in local storage. You can change your choice at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page — no need to clear your browser storage.

Browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings menu. Deleting the _ga cookie manually does not change your consent preference or stop data collection — use the Cookie Settings link in the footer to revoke consent, which updates Consent Mode to "denied" and deletes Google Analytics cookies automatically.

Google Analytics opt-out. You can also install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data across all sites that use it.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Our consent banner appears regardless of this signal, giving you an explicit choice to accept or reject analytics cookies.

Third-Party Cookies

Google Analytics 4, when enabled by your consent, may set cookies from the google-analytics.com and googletagmanager.com domains. Google assigns a pseudonymous client ID to distinguish visitors — this ID is not linked to your name or identity, but Google may process it under its own privacy framework. When you revoke consent via Cookie Settings, Consent Mode is set to "denied" and these cookies are automatically deleted from your browser. External sites we link to — such as card issuer websites — may set their own cookies. Those are governed by the third parties' own cookie policies, which we do not control.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable regulations. We will update the "Last updated" date when changes are made.
