Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

CredNavid ("we," "our," or "us") operates this website as a free financial education resource. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using this site you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

Information you provide

This site does not currently require account registration. A newsletter signup form and a contact form are displayed on the site, but these forms do not currently transmit or store submitted information. If these features are activated in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what is collected and how it is handled.

Automatically collected information

This site uses Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2 to understand which pages and financial products readers find useful. When you first visit the site, Consent Mode is set to "denied" — no analytics cookies are written and no data is processed until you grant consent. If you accept, Google Analytics collects usage data such as page views, approximate geographic region (country or city level), browser type, and whether a link to an external financial product page was clicked. Google assigns a pseudonymous client ID (stored in the _ga cookie) to distinguish repeat visitors, but this ID is not linked to your name, email, or identity. If you reject or later revoke consent, Consent Mode is set to "denied", existing Google Analytics cookies are deleted, and Google Analytics stops processing identifiable data — though it may still send cookieless pings that cannot be attributed to you individually. We do not collect your name, email address, financial account information, credit score, Social Security number, or any information you enter into the savings calculator. Google may process this data under its own privacy framework, and we cannot guarantee that Google will not link this pseudonymous data to other data it holds. You can choose whether to allow analytics cookies — see the consent banner at the bottom of the page, the Cookie Settings link in the footer, and our Cookie Policy for details.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site uses a first-party consent preference stored in your browser's local storage to remember whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish unique visitors. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set and no analytics data is sent. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies and how to control them.

How We Use Information

  • •To operate and maintain the website
  • •To respond to inquiries submitted through the Contact page (when that feature is activated)
  • •To improve the quality and relevance of our editorial content
  • •To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information to build advertising profiles. Analytics data collected through Google Analytics is used solely to understand aggregate traffic patterns and which financial products readers engage with.

Third-Party Links and Services

This site links to external websites, including card issuer websites and other financial product providers. When you click a link to an external financial product, we record an event noting which product was clicked and which page the click originated from. This event is associated with the same pseudonymous client ID used for page views — it does not include your name or identity.

We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or data collection of these external sites.

If affiliate partnerships or other third-party services are added in the future, this policy will be updated to describe what data those services may collect and how it is used.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us via our Contact page.

California residents (CCPA): We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion.

Analytics opt-out: You can reject or revoke analytics cookies at any time using the consent banner or the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page. Revoking consent stops further data collection and deletes Google Analytics cookies from your browser. You can also opt out through your browser's cookie settings or via Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data Security

This site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will post the updated version with a revised date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
